Italian Archaeological Mission in Erimi (Cyprus) / Erimi Archaeological Project
Erimi-Laonin tou Porakou, Limassol, Cyprus
The mission operates within the framework of cultural cooperation agreements between Italy and Cyprus, with the aim of providing, thanks to the peculiarities of the site and its wide sequence of occupations, new data for the study of material productions and cultural relations between the 'Ancient and the Middle Bronze Age, within the transition to the formation of urban society on the island.
The research program of the Italian Archaeological Mission in Erimi is the result of a close collaboration with the Department of Antiquities of Cyprus, and has been able to count over the years on the precious partnership with numerous Italian institutions (eg Politecnico di Torino; INFN-Labec), international (eg CAARI; Weizman Institute-Kimmel Center), local organizations (Cyprus Institute-STARC; University of Cyprus-ARU; Kourion Museum, Erimi Community Board) and the constant support of the Italian Embassy in Nicosia.

The mission is partly financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the
Italian Republic (MAECI).
